Flood Influence Characteristics of Rail Transit Engineering of Tunnel, Viaduct, and Roadbed through Urban Flood Detention Areas

Many subways, light rails, and trains travel through urban flood retention regions via tunnels, viaducts, roadbeds; however, less is known about the influence laws of rail transportation by crossing ways. Rail transit projects were chosen as research objects for ordinary subway, rail, railway passing detention areas in Wuhan, characteristics systematically compared three The study revealed that ways primarily affected storage volume occupied per unit length lines on was proportionate to lines. Specifically, tunnels 1/8.9 viaducts 1/19.7 roadbeds. Moreover, tunnel way had least main aspects, such control, floods engineering, engineering-related aspects; roadbed-based largest; viaduct middle. These findings may provide technical support decision-making, engineering planning, construction, management other areas.
